CELEBRATING THE SEVERN
On World Rivers Day, Sunday 28th September, the community is gathering to celebrate the beauty, history, and vitality of the River Severn – and you’re warmly invited to join!
The celebration will take place at Arlingham Victory Hall from 12 noon to 5 pm, with a wonderful programme of activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy:
An inspiring art exhibition and poetry readings
Morris dancing and live creativity
Children’s crafts
Water blessings and reflections
Refreshments to share together
The highlight of the day will be at 2 pm, when we will process to the River Severn for a ceremonial blessing of the waters – a chance to connect with the river and honour its life-giving flow.
This is a free community event, open to everyone. Bring your friends, family, and neighbours and join us as we celebrate the River Severn on this special day.
